The stainless steel central plates of the AG-Series runners can be mounted in two different ways anto a shaft: - Monobloc with jackshaft:
A jackshaft connects the generator shaft directly with the turbine wheel. The jackshaft should be long enough to bring space beween the buckets of the wheel and the turbine housing, to prevent, that water will splash back from the housing to the wheel.
- Multibloc:
With "Multibloc" build up, the turbine will be mounted on an own shaft. The turbine shaft can be assembled with a V-belt pully to drive the generator. The turbine runner, and alo the pulley, can be mounted on a lathed adaptor, which is assembled with a chuck on the shaft. With this easy technic, it is possible to use hardened shafts without grooving.
Certainly, weh can offer the needed equipment for both designs.
